Liberty University

Liberty University works with Pathfinder Hockey in a variety of capacities. Pathfinder founder Jodi Murphy currently works as the head field hockey coach at Liberty. The Liberty field hockey program consistently partners with Pathfinder Hockey, co-hosting camps and clinics each year for middle- and high-school students in the U.S.

In July 2013 Liberty University’s in-house missions organization, Light Ministries, partnered with Pathfinder and the Liberty field hockey team to send a team of 19 to teach run hockey and all-sport clinics in schools, churches and villages throughout Uganda.

Charlene’s Project

Charlene’s Project is a charity based in Northern Ireland that builds and supports local schools in Uganda. In 2013 Pathfinder came along side Charlene’s Project to visit and organize sports clinics in Charlene’s Project schools. Pathfinder and Charlene’s Project continue to coordinate short-term trips together.

Youth Sport Uganda

Youth Sport Uganda, a Kampala-based non-profit committed to improving lives and providing stability for impoverished Ugandan children. YSU has partnered with Pathfinder for several years, helping to coordinate short-term trips, travel logistics, and locations for clinics. YSU facilitates child sponsorship and small-business opportunities for women and children in the slums.

Sports Outreach Mission – Kampala

Sports Outreach Mission – Kampala is a Uganda branch of the Sports Outreach Institute, a non-profit based in Lynchburg, Va. SOI works to use sports ministry as a way to share the gospel and alleviate suffering in impoverished places. SOM – Kampala has partnered with Pathfinder to provide logistical support for short-term trips, and is beginning its own field hockey projects in Kampala.

Acres of Hope – Uganda

Acres of Hope Uganda is an orphanage and support program for vulnerable children in Nebbi, Uganda. Pathfinder has worked directly with Acres of Hope’s founder during the orphanage’s building process. A Pathfinder team is planning to visit the orphanage for the first time in the summer of 2014.
